Yoga at Journey of the Heart is your opportunity to take time just for you. A time to energetically disconnect from your responsibilities and feel your stresses dissolve.

Marg’s style is Classical Hatha Yoga, although the content differs each week, the primary focus is on learning the poses for the Sun and Moon Salutations.

The classes start with bringing your awareness to the breath and releasing any tension you may be carrying in your body and mind. After gentle stretches we begin the poses [asanas] which have the ability to stretch, strengthen and rejuvenate your body. Then we take a few moments to integrate the positive affects of the asanas by lying still followed by a guided meditation/visualization. Our classes are complete when we join together for the sacred sound Om.

Through out the class you are given reminders to focus inward to bring about your own body awareness. Also, you are encouraged to participate at your own rate keeping in mind each day brings us a different energy level. If your day has been exhausting you can give yourself permission to rest in the calming atmosphere provided and participate when you’re ready.

Thanks to Marg’s relaxed and soothing voice the 1½ hour class goes quickly and you are bound to have a wonderful calm, yet energized feeling when you leave. Marg offers day and evening classes, one on one, and group yoga sessions.

Introduction to Meditation

Learn the benefits of stilling your mind and alleviating stress with simple tools you can practice at home. Bring relaxation into your mind and body!

Drop-in Meditation Class

Come out and join like-minded people as we spend the evening practicing ancient  techniques  to stop the mind chatter and relax our bodies. You will feel the stress leaving and a sense of rejuvenation taking it’s place. In this relaxed state your  body, right done to the cellular level,  heals  itself.  You will feel relaxed, refreshed and rejuvenated!

Dates: Last Thursday of each month   7:30 -9 pm     Cost: $20.
